5月25日, 戴姆勒股份公司董事会主席康林松首次通过“梅赛德斯-奔驰线上直播间”，分享了公司近期的业务动态与未来规划。
在谈及公司目前运营状况时，康林松表示，在全球各地，大部分经销商目前已恢复营业，客流也在回升中，尤其是在中国。他说，“中国是目前形势最明朗、且最具前景的市场之一。4月份经销商的客流基本恢复到正常水平。因此我对未来抱着审慎乐观的态度。”
针对新冠肺炎疫情，康林松指出，疫情让他认识到恪守战略的重要性。他表示，汽车产业目前正在转型，有两大潮流在推动这一进程，一是碳中和，二是数字化。他认为，汽车正在成为“车轮上的智能手机”，它的作用不仅是将人们从A点带到B点，更打开了用户体验生态系统的大门。
自去年5月梅赛德斯-奔驰发布“2039愿景”以来，各业务领域陆续推出新能源产品，分布在中国、美国和欧洲的动力电池工厂也在不断扩建、新建中。康林松透露，公司最新的计划是，力求到2022年，在全球推行碳中和生产。
